Customized
Courses
We customize our MCAS programs to best meet your needs.
Our recommended
standard full-course MCAS Math and English Language Arts programs consist of
33, 36, or 45 hours of in-school preparation taught by a Summit instructor.
Diagnostic evaluations are used to tailor the curriculum and homework to your
students' specific needs. Classes will be conducted when it is convenient for
you and your students: during school, after school, or on weekends.
Small
Class Sizes
Classes are limited in size to 10-14 students per instructor.
Students are
grouped by their performance on the MCAS Diagnostic Pretest evaluations given
during the first session of the Summit program.
The small groups allow the
teacher to further tailor the class time and homework to the needs of their
students and provide for significant personal attention to each student.
Comprehensive
Materials
Students and teachers receive the full complement of Summit's test prep
materials.
Summit's materials
include a 352-page Summit Mathematics Course Book, a 227-page Summit English
Language Arts Course Book, the Summit Diagnostic Pretest and the Summit
Posttest.
Practice
Tests
Real practice tests reinforce concepts learned in class and provide regular
progress indicators for students, instructors, schools and parents.
In-school
programs incorporate the Pretests and Posttests, which are conducted under real
test-taking conditions. The Pretests assess student strengths and weaknesses at
the start of the program. The Posttests allows for accurate measurement of
students' progress through the MCAS
course.

The
Summit Portal - NEW for 2007
A tool for students as well as parents, this online feature allows
families to manage their MCAS
prep program by logging onto the Summit Web site with a
provided username and password. The Summit Portal allows families
to view attendance
and homework records,
class schedule and billing
status.
Families can also review practice test score reports
and homework assignments
following each session.
