SAT & PSAT Classes

Customized Classes
SAT and PSAT classes are customized to meet the needs of your students and your school. Our recommended Full SAT or PSAT class is 38 hours of in-school preparation taught by Summit instructors.  Diagnostic evaluations are used to tailor the curriculum and homework to your students' specific needs.  Classes typically meet once a week for 3 hours, conducted when it is convenient for you and your students: during school, after school, or on weekends.

Small Class Size
Classes are limited to 10 -14 students per instructor.  Students are grouped by their performance on the SAT or PSAT diagnostic test given during the first session of the program.  The small groups allow the instructors to further tailor the class time and homework to the needs of their students and provide for significant personal attention to each student.

Comprehensive Materials
Students and instructors receive the full complement of Summit's test prep materials as well as access to our website's Test Center.  Summit's materials include a 443-page Summit Course Book, Summit Math and Vocabulary Flashcards, and 4 official practice tests.

Practice Tests
Real practice tests reinforce concepts learned in class and provide regular progress indicators for students, instructors, schools and parents.  In-school programs include 4 official practice SAT or PSAT tests administered throughout the course.  Conducted under real test-taking conditions, practice tests allow for accurate measurement of students' progress.

Progress Reporting
Summit will provide school administrators and parents with progress reports on each student's attendance, homework completion, and practice test scores.

Diagnostic Testing
Programs start with a practice test.  Computer-analyzed results help the instructor to set individual score goals with your students.  After reviewing the test analysis, students know which areas need the most work so that they can get the SAT preparation they need.

Summit Scholarships
We will grant scholarships to students in need of financial aid.  Please contact us for details.

Summit's Score Increase Commitment

Affordable, Cost-effective Test Prep Solutions
We level the playing field by making our programs affordable.  Our programs are less expensive than many commercial programs.  If you calculate the cost per hour of class time, you'll find that Summit provides the most in-class time for your families' dollar.

Web-based Features: New for 2007

Online SAT Supplement
Now students can reinforce and practice the important test-taking skills and concepts learned in the classroom with our online SAT prep supplement. This feature allows students to listen to audible lessons and take additional practice quizzes.  It also permits students to make up course material if they cannot attend a session.

The Summit Portal
A tool for students as well as parents, this online feature allows families to manage their SAT prep program by logging onto the Summit Web site with a provided username and password. The Summit Portal allows families to view attendance and homework records, class schedule and billing status.  Families can also review practice test score reports and homework assignments following each session.
