ISEE |
The ISEE, or Independent School Entrance Exam, is a verbal and quantitative reasoning test designed to measure a student's potential for learning and provide information about strengths and weaknesses, in regard to reading comprehension and mathematic achievement.
There are currently three levels of the test. The Lower Level is for admission into grades 5-6, the Middle Level is for admission into grades 7-8, and the Upper Level is for admission into grades 9-12.

Lower Level Test
Verbal Reasoning
Length: One 20-minute section
Content: Synonyms and sentence completion
Questions: 34 multiple choice
Quantitative Reasoning
Length: One 35-minute section
Content: Comprehension, interpretation, application, and higher order thinking
Questions: 38 multiple choice
Reading Comprehension
Length: One 25-minute section
Content: Reading comprehension
