15-Session SAT Program

Fifteen 90-minute sessions.  Our most popular offering, the 15-Session Program provides comprehensive preparation and is recommended for most students.  In customized tutoring sessions, students will learn powerful test-taking strategies, and thoroughly review the necessary math, reading and writing skills.

12-Session SAT Program

Twelve 90-minute sessions.  This offering includes the same elements as the 15-Session Program, only in a more condensed format.  Recommended for upper-level students, or for students who have a limited amount of time to prepare before the test.

6-Session Single-Subject Critical Reading Program

Six 90-minute sessions concentrated on reading comprehension and sentence completion.  Ideal for students who want to focus exclusively on the critical reading portion the test.

6-Session Single-Subject Writing Program

Six 90-minute sessions concentrated on grammar and usage, word choice, organization,  and clear expression of ideas.  Ideal for students who want to focus exclusively on the writing portion the test.

7-Session Single-Subject Math Program

Seven 90-minute sessions concentrated on arithmetic, algebra I, algebra II, geometry, and data analysis.  Ideal for students who want to focus exclusively on the math portion of the test.

Summit's Approach

The Diagnostic Test
At the start of each program, students take a diagnostic test, which pinpoints strengths and areas in need of improvement.  Based on the results of this assessment, tutors work with each student to set score goals and develop a customized preparation plan.

Proven Test-Taking Strategies
We arm you with powerful and up-to-date strategies for all sections of the test.  Test-taking strategy is emphasized in sessions and practiced on homework.  Our approach makes the test less intimidating and more like a challenging game.  

Math And Verbal Fundamentals
You receive a thorough grounding in SAT math and verbal basic skills. The diagnostic test and a consistent analysis of tests and homework assignments allow you and your instructor to monitor your progress and turn your weaknesses into strengths.

Mock Test
To give you 'real' SAT test-taking experience, we offer simulated SAT exams, administered in large group settings. The score results are computer-analyzed and returned to you and your instructor for review.

Details About Our SAT Programs

Scheduling
Scheduling is flexible to accommodate students’ school work and other extracurricular commitments.  Once your program is underway, you will arrange your schedule directly with the instructor(s).

Course Materials
All materials associated with our test preparation programs are included.  Materials include Summit’s SAT Course Book, Power Flashcards and real SAT tests. 

Homework
The homework is an integral part of the program.  Typically, you are assigned about 2 hours of homework per session.  The homework gives you an opportunity to practice the skills and test-taking strategies learned in the sessions.
