MyTutor Plus is a unique One-on-One, In-Home Tutoring Program. It's academic tutoring with an extra component: ongoing and practical instruction in essential study skills, organizational strategies, and time management techniques.

Needs Assessment
MyTutor Plus begins with a comprehensive assessment of your learning style. Tutors interview students and parents to come up with an honest appraisal of your natural strengths, approach to schoolwork, stress level, motivation, and learning style to customize the tutoring program.  

Customized Tutoring
Your tutor develops a personalized program based on your  unique needs and goals. Working with the Needs Assessment, and your current curriculum and assignments, your tutor will address key areas such as:

• Content and Methods
• Self Advocacy 
• Communication

Your tutor will help establish an approach to schoolwork that allows you to achieve your current goals and learn successful habits for life.

With MyTutor Plus you will be establishing good habits, getting homework done, and improving study skills in the place that you will most often work: your home. Creating a productive environment in which you can study is often the first project you and your tutor will work on together. MyTutor Plus is a unique balance of study skills and academic tutoring, and the most effective place for you to implement new study skills is in the home.

Executive Functioning, Learning Differences, Attention Deficit Disorders
Summit created MyTutor Plus to address the challenges you may have with the essential skills needed to manage your workload. Difficulties with these skills present themselves for any number of reasons. Perhaps you're entering a new grade or school and you fear the skills now required were not adequately established last year. Students with executive functioning challenges, learning differences and/or ADHD often have trouble incorporating these skills into their daily lives. It can be stressful for both you and your parents to overcome these obstacles. MyTutor Plus will help to alleviate the stress put on the parent/child relationship due to these issues.
