Summit’s 1:1 Executive Function Coaching helps students build essential skills like time management, organization, and focus. These abilities are key to academic success but don’t always come naturally. Our personalized coaching equips students with strategies to stay on top of assignments, reduce stress, and perform at their best.

How It Works

  • Personalized Coaching – Students work 1:1 with a dedicated coach to create tailored study and work plans.
  • Focused Sessions – Regular 30-minute to 1-hour meetings keep students engaged and accountable.
  • Recap & Progress Updates – After each session, receive a detailed email summarizing progress, current tasks, and next steps.

Dave Pyrch
Dave Pyrch

Dave earned BS degrees in Mathematics and Math Education, along with an MA in Education from the University of Connecticut. He has been tutoring with Summit since 2018 and brings over nine years of experience as both a tutor and high school math teacher. Passionate about helping students break down complex math concepts, Dave uses proven strategies to build mastery and confidence. Outside of tutoring, he is a marathon runner, kayaker, and music enthusiast.

Kevin Sun
Kevin Sun

A Summit Tutor since 2019, Kevin works with students in grades 4–12. He creates a supportive, stress-free environment where students build confidence, master key concepts, and develop lifelong learning skills. By tailoring his teaching approach to each student’s unique learning style, he makes lessons both engaging and effective. Outside of tutoring, he enjoys spending time with family, watching movies, attending live music events, cooking, and hiking.

Nick Slavkovich
Nick Slavkovich

A Summit tutor since 2022, Nick brings decades of experience in test preparation and is known for his patient, engaging style. He helps students strengthen core skills, clarify challenging concepts, and build the confidence needed to perform at a high level. A graduate of Columbia University with a degree in literature, Nick has taught and tutored students around the world since 2003. His approach combines clear explanation with humor and encouragement, making complex material accessible. Outside of tutoring, he enjoys traveling and draws on his international experiences to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.

Marvin Wolfert
Marvin Wolfert

Marvin has been a Summit tutor since 2004 and spent 12 years as a Senior Program Director, guiding families through the standardized-testing landscape. A former attorney focused on estate and business planning, he graduated magna cum laude from Boston University with a degree in English Literature and holds a JD from Suffolk University Law School and an LLM in Taxation from Boston University. Outside tutoring, Marvin values time with his family—including four grandchildren—has completed 25 marathons, and is active in his synagogue’s adult education programs.

Megan Erickson
Megan Erickson

A strengths-based, methodical tutor, Megan joined Summit in 2013 and builds a close rapport with families while keeping sessions engaging and results-focused. She earned a BS in Psychology/Biological Bases of Behavior from Duke, then spent five years in clinical research at Tufts while completing post-baccalaureate pre-medical work at Harvard. Choosing education over patient care, she now tutors full time and loves helping students reach their goals. Outside of work, she follows sports and travels widely—22 countries and counting—with highlights like Denali base camp, Mt. Fuji, and the Great Barrier Reef.

Rob Salomon
Rob Salomon

Rob grew up in Northern California and earned a degree in Public Administration with a minor in Economics from Northern Arizona University. Coming from a family of educators, he has spent the past 20 years tutoring and mentoring students, helping them build confidence and reach their academic goals. Rob has been part of the Summit team since 2022 and spent two years as a Program Director, guiding families through the test prep process, before returning his focus to working one on one with students. Outside of work, Rob enjoys hiking, playing the drums, gardening, and challenging friends and family to board games.
