ACT Test Prep

We understand that standardized tests can be stressful. At Summit, our mission is to make the ACT preparation process a positive, stress-free experience for both you and your student.

As experts in the ACT, we’ve developed a proprietary curriculum designed to help students reach their full potential on the exam. Deciding between the ACT and SAT can be a pivotal choice, and we’re here to guide you and your student to the best path based on their strengths and goals.

Expert, Personalized Service

Your journey with Summit begins with a personalized consultation with your Program Director, who takes the time to understand your student’s unique needs and goals. From there, they design a tailored tutoring program, carefully matching your student with a compatible, experienced tutor who fits their learning style.

But our support doesn’t stop there. Your Program Director will monitor progress, provide ongoing guidance, and check in regularly to ensure the program stays on track. After each tutoring session, you’ll receive a detailed lesson recap email so you’re always informed about your student’s progress.

With our concierge-style approach, parents stay engaged, and student success remains at the heart of every tutoring program.

“We were very happy with our daughter's ACT tutor. He communicated every aspect of the tutoring process with us from our time schedule to the details of the ACT and his follow-up was 100%. He taught the ACT content clearly, explained the many ways to navigate the test through managing time, etc. He instilled confidence in my daughter that she would not have attained without him. Thank you.”

Elaine E., Parent

“Our son's tutor was wonderful! He was able to assess his strengths and weaknesses, and work with him to improve his ACT scores. His score increase was much larger than we were expecting! I can see our son's work with his tutor carrying over into his classes as he is now getting As in English, while he has never done so before.”

Amanda B., Parent

“Our tutor has been fantastic with my daughter. She has done a great job of inspiring her to take practice tests and to do well on the ACTs.”

Jodi G., Parent

"My son's Summit tutor helped him go from a 24 to a 31 on the ACT! He was the best - so patient and easy to be around."

Tiernan C. Parent

“Our tutor did a wonderful job with my son. She was very professional and friendly. She helped him gain confidence in his ability to do well on the ACT. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a tutor.”

Mary S., Parent

"He is a phenomenal tutor who helped our son achieve a score even better than we had hoped. He was methodical in breaking down the areas that needed improvement and coached our son how to overcome his weaknesses. We couldn't have asked for a better tutor."

How to Get Started

Step 1: Take a Free, Proctored Practice Test

Sign up for a free, full-length practice test that simulates the official exam experience. This gives students valuable exposure to test pacing, question types, and format. Afterward, you and your student will receive a detailed score report, providing a clear benchmark and identifying key areas for growth.

Step 2: Schedule a Free Consultation

Once your student completes their practice test, you’ll meet with one of our expert Program Directors for a personalized consultation. Together, they’ll review the results, highlight your student’s strengths, and create a customized tutoring plan tailored to their specific needs—ensuring they build confidence and maximize their potential.

When Should You Take the ACT?

Once we've helped determine that the ACT is the right test for your student, the next step is choosing the best time for them to take it. The ideal timing depends on when your student will have the most time to prepare in the weeks leading up to test day.

Most students spend 10–16 weeks preparing for the test and take it two to three times to achieve their best score.

Your Program Director will work closely with you to identify the optimal test date based on your student’s schedule, academic workload, and goals, ensuring they’re set up for success.
